Lorenzo’s Pizza in Sussex is serving up some of the crispiest slices I’ve ever had. From classic plain and pepperoni to off-the-wall flavors like pickle pizza, these guys have no problem turning just about anything into a pizza pie—and I’m here for it.
Located at 67 Main Street in Sussex, NJ, Lorenzo’s has that old-school, lunch time pizza joint feel. Think hard red booths, vintage décor, and a no-frills atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
The service? Super fast and so friendly. The staff treats you like family, and they’re quick with your order. Open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, this is a must-stop spot for anyone in Sussex County—especially if you’re fueling up after a hike.
What We Ordered
Reuben Pizza – A St. Paddy’s Day special so good we ordered two pies. Thin slices of corned beef, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, and melty Swiss cheese come together in this sandwich-turned-pizza masterpiece. If you’re a Reuben fan, you need to try this.
Disco Fry Pizza – Exactly what you’d expect: a pizza loaded with French fries, gravy, and mozzarella cheese. It came out piping hot and crispy, though I will say the fries got a little soggy under all that goodness. But still—disco fries on a pizza? Genius.
We also got the fried pickles, and while I forgot to snap a pic, let me tell you—they were incredible. Perfectly thick pickle chips, not too wet, fried to golden perfection, and speckled with dill in the breading. So flavorful and so crispy.

✔ Reuben Pizza – Get it while you can! This St. Paddy’s special had my whole family fighting for the last slice.
✔ Fried Pickles – Perfectly crispy, perfectly seasoned—a new favorite for me.
?I’ve never had these but I CANNOT WAIT to go back here and try the chicken caesar roll up and the giant garlic knot sandwich.
