Pantry on Main: The Cozy Breakfast Spot You Need to Try in the Catskills

The perfect cabin getaway isn’t complete without a cozy breakfast spot to fuel your day’s adventures. On a recent trip, my boyfriend and I stumbled upon Pantry on Main while driving around looking for a new breakfast spot—and let me tell you, this place is a must-visit.

Know Before You Go

Pantry on Main has a bit of a unique schedule:

• Monday, Thursday, Friday: 11:30 AM – 5 PM

• Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM

• Sunday: 9 AM – 3 PM

If you’re planning to hit the slopes early, their hours might not be ideal for breakfast, but you can always swing by for dinner after a long day on the mountain.

We stopped in on a Sunday morning, and I’m so glad we did—this is officially my new go-to breakfast spot in the Catskills.

Rustic Vibes + Counter Service

Pantry on Main has a super casual, counter-service setup. You order at the counter, grab a table number, and they bring everything out to you. The vibe? Cozy, rustic, and homey. Think country-style tables, warm wooden accents, and even a table set around a fireplace—talk about the ultimate winter breakfast spot.

Drinks: A Hit & A Miss

I ordered the pistachio matcha, and while the pistachio sauce was divine, the matcha itself was too light in both color and flavor. Next time, I’d go for a pistachio latte instead!

Boyf went for a mango mimosa, which was simple and exactly what you’d expect—nothing crazy, just a solid brunch drink.

Now, Let’s Talk Food—Because Y’ALL Need to Try This Spot!!

Bread Pudding French Toast

Boyf and I always lean savory for breakfast, but I somehow convinced him to split an order of the bread pudding French toast with me. And let me tell you… it exceeded my expectations.

They take dense, custardy bread pudding, slice it up, and fry it up like french toast with cinnamon sugar — it’s rich and soft and you can taste the sweet custardy base inside. I don’t normally go for French toast at restaurants (too basic), but this? Next-level decadence which perfectly elevates a classic dish.

Turkish Eggs (My Favorite Dish!)

I think about these Turkish Eggs more than I should.

• Perfectly poached eggs

• Creamy, garlicky Greek yogurt

• Crispy skillet potato pancake

• Nduja chili oil

• Rye crumble for texture

The mix of hot, crispy potato pancake + cool, tangy yogurt + runny egg yolk + spicy chili oil made for the most incredible bite. I can confidently say this is my favorite breakfast dish in the Catskills—yes, it’s that good.

Breakfast Skillet (Boyf’s Pick!)

Boyf went for the Breakfast Skillet, which features:

• Slow-cooked shredded pork belly in house adobo

• Crispy skillet potato pancake

• Two over-easy eggs

• Avocado pico de gallo

The pork belly was perfectly seasoned, with bold and flavorful Hispanic-inspired flavors. While I was all about my Turkish Eggs, he loved this dish—proof that whatever your flavor preference, Pantry on Main delivers.

Great Food, Even Better Value

Most dishes fall in the $8–$16 range, with an average of $12–$13 per entrée. Not only is that a steal, but the portions left us perfectly full—not hungry, but not so stuffed we needed a nap after.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re a Catskills local or just passing through, Pantry on Main is a must-visit spot for breakfast or brunch. I can’t speak on their dinner because I have never had it, but I can safely say I plan to now!
